Sapphire windows are known as being high performers in any industry for their overall versatility and ability to withstand abrasive applications that would otherwise break glass made of silica. Sapphire optical window is hard, strong, and wears resistant. Because of sapphire hard properties, so it can be used in Aerospace windows, downhole and drilling vision systems, inspection windows, watch crystals, and gun sights. Sapphire window transparency is very good also. So it is ideal for deep sea and underwater sensors.
Our team of experienced engineers and technicians use advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment to ensure that our optical windows are of the highest quality, with exceptional clarity, low levels of birefringence, and minimal wavefront distortion. This makes them ideal for use in many optical applications, including imaging, spectroscopy, and laser optics.
Types of sapphire glass window for your needs:
Fused quartz windows
BK7 optical windows

Sapphire Window Cleaning
Cleaning a sapphire custom optical window is similar to cleaning any other type of window, but you need to be careful to avoid scratching the surface. Here are some steps you can follow to clean a sapphire window:
Prepare the cleaning solution: Mix warm water with a small amount of mild soap or detergent in a container.
Wet a soft cloth with the cleaning solution: Make sure the cloth is clean and free of any debris that could scratch the surface.
Gently wipe the sapphire window: Use the wet cloth to wipe the surface of the window, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
Rinse the window: Use a separate clean cloth or sponge to rinse the window with clean water.
Dry the window: Use a clean, soft cloth to dry the sapphire window. Avoid using paper towels or any other abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
If the window has stubborn stains or grime, you can use a specialized sapphire cleaning solution, which can be purchased from jewelry stores or online retailers. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully when using these products.
Sapphire window transmission
Sapphire windows have excellent optical properties, including high transmission in the visible to near-infrared (NIR) wavelength range. The exact transmission characteristics of a sapphire window depend on factors such as its thickness and surface quality, as well as the wavelength of the light passing through it.
In general, sapphire windows have high transmission in the visible spectrum, with transmission rates of up to 90% or more depending on the thickness of the window. In the NIR range, sapphire windows also have high transmission rates, typically over 80% for wavelengths up to 2 microns.
However, as the wavelength increases beyond 2 microns, sapphire windows become increasingly opaque due to absorption. At wavelengths around 3 microns, sapphire windows have a transmission rate of around 50%, and at 4 microns, the transmission rate drops to around 10%. Therefore, if you need to transmit light at longer wavelengths, you may need to consider other materials such as germanium or zinc selenide, which have higher transmission rates in the mid- and far-infrared regions.
Sapphire Glass Window Uses
Sapphire windows can be used in vision systems, inspection windows, watch crystals, and gun sights. Underwater security equipment. Sapphire windows can be widely used in gas and oil analysis, barcode readers, and IR analysis devices. Its application in industry, military, defense, space, medical and research sectors. Sapphire optical windows can be made a great deal thinner than other optical windows, which results in improved transmission. Sapphire optical windows are useful through a wide wavelength range of 0.15 to 5.5µm and are resistant to UV radiation darkening.
